  • 1 in 20 students experienced sexual assault since commencing university.
  • Approximately 50% of students had little or no knowledge of how to report an incident or access support.
  • Fewer than 3% of students who experienced sexual harassment made a formal complaint to their institution.

Gender-based violence also impacts university staff.

  • 1 in 3 respondents reported experiencing workplace sexual harassment.
  • Only 13% made a formal complaint.
  • 46% chose not to report.
  • More than half reported being discouraged from proceeding with their complaint or experiencing negative consequences after reporting.

These findings highlight the importance of trusted, confidential reporting pathways for both students and staff.

Capital Health Care Pty Ltd has utilised the EzyVax software supplied by My Workplace Health for the 2024 flu vaccination season. As a new user of the system, I was not only extremely impressed with the level of customer support but also more importantly the ease of use to implement the software. Both the employees and HR team members from multiple government agencies were very impressed with the software's features. The system reminds employees of appointments via text messages and allows links to Microsoft Outlook, on completion of vaccinations employee AIR records are updated and vaccination certificates are emailed to the employee. From the nursing perspective the system uses a traffic light system which all the nurses found extremely valuable in identifying potential issues, the system also bought up previous vaccination records which was also a valuable tool. I personally looked at and sat in meetings with five other software providers, the EzyVax system was superior in every way, in fact nothing was even close or as modern.
